The RID machine was designed and manufactured to eliminate the inaccuracies and mess of wheel grinding in the field.  The RID machine will dress a bandmill wheel in a few minutes after the initial set up of the machine. The purpose is to greatly reduce the time taken in the past to dress the wheel face to a particular crown and also to be extremely accurate in obtaining the required profile.
